ABOUT OUR COMPANY
The Mid-Cape J-1 Housing Program helps J-1 participants on the work and travel and intern programs to find temporary housing, host housing, and housing leads for the summer season.
If you are a J-1 participant looking for housing, please read the information on the “For Participants” page. If you would like to host students for the summer season, please read the information on the “For Hosts” page.
In 2016, approximately 4,000 J-1 participants from over 50 countries worked on Cape Cod through the J-1 work and travel and J-1 intern programs. The majority of students had to find housing on their own.
1. Try to find an employer that provides housing.
If you can not find an employer that provides housing, start looking for housing as soon as you have a confirmed job.
2. Try to find housing within one mile of your employer.
if you can’t find housing within one mile of your employer, try to find housing that is on or near a Cape Cod Regional Transit route. Please see the page “Buses” for more information.
3. Do your hours of employment match the bus schedules?
The spring bus schedules are different from the summer bus schedules, which start in June. In the spring schedule, the buses do not run on Sundays.
4. Make sure your housing is legitimate.
Please see the page “Housing Scams” to see how you can take steps to see if your housing is legitimate.
We have the copywriters you need to get the job done
