How Does Your Program Help J-1 Participants?
Every summer, approximately 5,000 international college students work on Cape Cod, Massachusetts via the J-1 summer work and travel, the J-1 au pair, and the J-1 intern visa programs. Their needs are safe housing, safe transportation, and to acclimate to U.S. culture. We help J-1 students in the following ways:
Housing
Difficult to Find
J-1 participants are competing with tourists, medical personnel, and the Cape Cod Baseball League to find affordable housing. At the Mid-Cape J-1 Housing Program, we provide housing leads and limited temporary housing leads to J-1 participants.
Road Safety Program
The J-1 Late Night Bus & Road Safety Assistance
We provide bicycle safety equipment at Hello Summer J-1 welcome dinners and other cultural events. Also, we partner with INTRAX, which provides free late night buses for J-1 participants from South Eastham to South Dennis.
Hello Summer J-1
Providing Cultural Events for J-1 Participants
We partner with Hello Summer J-1 to provide cultural events for J-1 participants.
